Drifting Walls

My Munich-based art project Smoking Constitution part 2 deals with the stories of homeless people who use plastic bags as a storage place for their belongings. During my research stay in Senegal, my focus went from plastic bags as a storage place for belongings to the city of Tambacounda as a „storage place“ for plastic bags. My first goal was to aestheticise plastic waste. The works created in Tambacounda, were developed in interaction with other artists, teachers and students in schools and kindergartens, but also private initiatives.
The Drifting Walls Project lives from the fact that all participants understand art as collective practice. Now the aim is to promote change and sustainability through participation.
